The noise level on LW BCB is not all that bad at this time of the year with the cool weather and very few t-storms.  Its a different story once the warm weather comes in a few weeks with a very high noise level.  The ewe (20x50x20) works good as does the KAZ antenna both point toward Japan.
Very little LW BCB can be heard on a long wire antenna.
