Re: [IRCA] Recording Ultralights



LF DXers like to record their catches too; folks have found that a standard 
modem transformer works well as an isolation transformer from the radio to 
the recorder or computer. If you have an old defective modem card, you can 
use that tranformer. Some folks unsolder it; others simply hacksaw the 
transformer intact from the board and solder to it.
A standard 600 ohm : 600 ohm transformer available by mail order, or 
possibly from Radio Shack is the same thing as a modem transformer, too.
