I had a similar problem recording from a Sony ICF2010 to a
laptop. Using an isolating audio transformer between the Sony's
recording output and the audio input of the laptop helped quite a
lot, as did a long cable to get the Sony's antenna away from the
noise of the laptop. Would need to look through what is laughably
referred to as "my documentation" to see what I used for a transformer, though.
best wishes,
Nick
