Colin and Paul,
Your generous offers to host Ultralight articles on your fine web sites
are deeply appreciated! There is a serious need for such a definitive
reference site for all the important documentation that we have developed to date.
Nick's extremely helpful suggestion that enthusiasts join IRCA is a
great first start. The IRCA DX Monitor is sure to be greatly energized by the
Ultralight Boom, and the original SRF-59 review article (as well as the
pending 2007 Shootout article) will be very helpful to pocket radio enthusiasts.
The Ultralight Awards program will be fully covered in DXM, and readers will
be astonished to find SRF-59 DX reports surreptitiously infiltrating even the
international DX reports in IRCA's DXM. The Ultralight Boom started in IRCA,
so why deny yourself the chance to get the latest, full information on this
incredible, spontaneous boom which is radically transforming AM-DX?
Paul, your generous suggestion of hosting Ultralight-related
information is much appreciated. I am certain that fanatic Ultralight enthusiasts like
myself can amply supply you with as much material as you wish. However, I
feel a deep personal responsibility to Colin, whose completely accidental
assistance started the Ultralight Boom itself. There is nothing that would
please me more than having the entire wildly enthusiastic Ultralight DX movement
make Colin's superb dxer.ca web site the worldwide headquarters for an AM-DX
revolution, that will bring new excitement and optimism into our cherished
hobby.
As the somewhat bewildered de-facto leader of an Ultralight movement
that has suddenly become something like a Runaway Train, there are pressing new
responsibilities for organization of an Awards program, Ultralight Radio
Definitions Committee, SRF-59 alignment procedures, the 2008 Shootout
preparation, as well as the rare chance of Ultralight DXing itself. Colin, please
forgive me for not yet taking advantage of your very welcome offer to host space
for the Ultralight Revolution, because of a temporary lack of free time to do
the superb job which is required. Currently, there are several highly
fanatical Ultralight
Lieutenants whose assistance has been critical in helping me avoid the local
shrink, and whose volunteer efforts would certainly equal or exceed anything
that I could temporarily provide. For those of you Ultralight Fanatics who
really wish to transform the AM-DX community by your supreme enthusiasm, may
I suggest volunteering any and all talents you currently possess, in the
ultimate, righteous cause of completely shifting the IRCA mindset from IBOC
pessimism to Ultralight optimism!
73 and Best Wishes to All,
Gary DeBock
