The powerful Japanese stations were really good today, but that didn't 
extend more generally.  594 in particular was very strong, blasting 
through the IBOC noise from KOJM.   Did note the Chinese on 1044 and 
1206, nearly always the two best here.   For some reason, the Japanese 
on 1179 has been the best Japanese of late, outside of the big guns. 
This morning it had pretty fair audio, whereas there was nothing from 
1134, 1242, 1287 etc.  Would have been perfectly readable if not for a 
very strong KOFI on 1180.   I should mention that I've observed the same 
as Dennis, signals haven't been getting a significant boost near 
sunrise, and in fact some days are fading by then.
