my apologies -- the following lines got deleted before I sent it out:

the signal was // to WTAM-1100 Cleveland.  I have to wonder if it was an
internal receiver-generated thingie, but WTAM is NOT overpowering at my
Golden Lake location.  So it was English sports, seemingly their regularly
scheduled sports-talk.
