Basically the same thing here except I use a WinRadio G313e for pulling 
out the difficult DX. I do have to admit that the SDR-14 pulls out about 
99% of the DX, and the WinRadio is only needed in the very worst situations.

After many months of regular use of the SDR-14, it is my preferred 
receiver for DXing. The point and click ease of tuning, outstanding AM 
and SSB demodulation, filters, AGC, ease of accurate calibration and PFM 
to less than 1 Hz, 190 kHz recordings, etc just make it a no-brainer for 
my DX style.

The only issues I have with the receiver here at my urban home QTH, with 
a few AM stations with 5 miles, the SDR-14 with a large ALA-100 is MW 
locals over-loading LW and SW requiring major reduction of the SDR-14 
gain settings. I resolved that by employing superb low-pass and hi-pass 
filters designed and built by Steve Ratzlaff which allows me to DX both 
LW and SW at full gain. On MW itself, the receiver only tends to 
over-load and requires lowering gain when a super-local is within Filter 
Bandwidth. Outside this urban setting, the filters are not required.

After owning all 3 Drake R8/A/B, NRD-535D, Racal RA6790, a highly 
modified R75, Palstar R30C and others over the years, the G313e I've 
owned for about 2 years had spoiled me. And then I bought a SDR-14 
earlier this year...
