Re: [IRCA] [ABDX] Re: Random thoughts on IBOC

Paul, I love Radio. I love to visit radio stations and I love radio
history. Radio as a listener and someone who appreciates the medium is
in my blood. In fact, my DXing hobby is an adjunct to how I view radio,
not my primary intention here. I have several websites devoted to
different aspects of radio and broadcasting.

That said, I think that using smoke and mirrors, as I stated previously,
like IBOC (or other forms of digital) is not where the broadcasters
should place their emphasis. It is with local content, something that
terrestrial broadcasters can do that other forms of broadcasters or
media distribution can't. PERIOD.

I firmly believe that those stations which can do this successfully will
be the ones who survive. Those who ignore this and spend their money in
the latest and greatest technology will not likely survive. Technology
will not save radio, content will.
