I wasn't terribly impressed with the patterns of a 1080 ft BOG that snaked, 
but didn't bend severely up my driveway and to the NE edge of my bluff in 
Grafton WI. It seemed OK on the lower band, but high end was quite lossy and 
I didn't care for the receiving patterns and even mid band patterns didn't 
seem so good, ie mediocre side nulls, wider beam than expected etc. Even as 
one gets close to 900 ft, I have not been terribly impressed with the high 
end of BCB. However, 893 ft in Grafton gets CFRB = to WSPT daytimes at noon 
last August with no termination due to very nice F/B.

Perhaps it is my conductive midwestern ground, but unless interested in only 
the lower end or LW, I wouldn't go past 1000 ft for a BOG directly on the 
ground as mine are..ie across driveway or well cut lawn.
