Patrick and Dennis,
The consensus seems to be that distant DXers had a decent shot at KOHI
before the arrival of KVRI, and before its unfavorable change in transmitter
location. The current situation (and signal) seem miserable indeed.
By the way, Patrick, I visited St. Helens twice, and remember the
unique scenery quite well. Both times I was on a motorcycle, and just wanted to
take take a friend on the back, so she could say she had "visited Oregon on a
motorcycle." (It is the part of Oregon closest to here, about a 4 hour round
trip.) The view of Mount St. Helens on the Columbia River bridge at Rainier
was especially impressive!
