Re: [IRCA] TPs for 3-19

Have noted from the 160m list, that Japanese hams are being heard in
the central part of the continent in the last couple of mornings, so
probably time for some of you MW DXers to see if 100 to 500 kw can
punch through the splatter, if a thousandth of that power is creeping
through just a few hundreds of kilohertz higher in frequency.

Now, to this morning....as always, top of band not so good,
conditions very variable; listened on and off from 1300 to 1420UT.

Good audio though usually fighting with splash : 567, 594, 774, 828,
963, 972. ( 774 and 963 actually dominated the splatter at times; a
good CC ID after CRI IS on 963 at 1300.)

The occasional word allowing possible language recognition, but
mostly splash: 558 JJ, 603 (big carrier), 639 CC//5030, 693 JJ, 711,
738 (Asia), 747 (mixing with hum), 756 (Asia, not DU), 837 JJ, 855
KK with big hum, 864 JJ, 1035 (KK?), 1098 (Asia), 1134 JJ, 1206 KK
mixing with hum, 1377 x2 (one CC//5030), 1503 JJ, 1566

Burbles in the splatter: 576 (Asia), 612 (Aussie?), 873, 918, 936,
981, 1017, 1044 (not China, seemed EE by inflection???), 1053 (sure I
heard the Korean jammer, then faded up to big carrier only), 1125,
1215, 1287, 1386, 1413

strong carrier, no audio: 648, 819 hum, 1107 hum, 1475

best wishes,

Nick
