Dennis,

Don't quite know what you're asking here. If you're bandscanning, it'll 
take a while
because you have to tune from 500 to 1000 kHz, then reset the MEGACYCLE
CHANGE to show "01" on the counter dial, and run the KILOCYCLE CHANGE
back down to show "000" on the counter dial, and start tuning back up toward
"01700."

To go directly from 500 kHz to 1700 kHz is a matter of seconds.

You'll soon get "R-390A wrist." Like carpal tunnel syndrome, only worse. Hi.
