Absolutely El Gato - as a matter of fact, that was probably either '73 or
'74, just after I left Uncle Sam's Canoe Club. My DXing began in 1964, but
you were the first fellow DXer I actually met in person, and thanks to you,
I joined IRCA. And the rest is history!
Many war stories, e.g., trying to log all stations within a certain radius
of Indy, visiting BCB and LORAN stations on Okinawa, me drooling over your
terrific old QSLs, yes, the list goes on and on.
All the more reason to capture some of these memories for posterity.
73s always,

Jim,
Remember how we came to meet while you were in Lafayette (IN) and I was in
Indianapolis. 1973, I believe it was.
When did you join us in the IRCA? It seems to me an awareness that you were
an IRCAer caused me to initiate
(what I hope to be a) long friendship with you.
73,
Alan
