I was never in the Navy, but when I returned to the United States in 1958 on the U.S.S. Kearsarge after service in Germany, I made the cocksure statement that "seasickness is all in the mind." It was on that journey that I discovered I had a weak mind.
Unfortunately, on that return trip, my Zenith Trans-Oceanic and the Grundig-Majestic that I had bought for Roy Millar were in hold baggage, and I was unable to indulge in saltwater DX'ing. No telling how many great stations I could have told the truth about.
