Re: [IRCA] [ABDX] unID Mexican help

By the way, I'm wondering if anyone who's been taping on 540 this past week has detected anything that might be XEWF, moved from 1420 per Fred Cantú. According to Cantú's listing, it had been using the old "Poderosa" slogan but has recently switched to "Colorin ColoRadio" slogan. Unfortunately, its new location is shown as Tlalmanalco, Estado de México, moved from Cuernavaca, Morelos. WRTH-2006 picked up the XEWF move info, identifying its power as 20,000 watts, daytime only. (Which means a 7 p.m. CST s/off, if accurate.)

The SCT list was "updated" on October 11 (at http://www.cft.gob.mx/cofetel/radio_tv/doctos/infra_am_280206_.pdf<about:blank>) but still shows XEWF on 1420 in Cuernavaca but does show XERV on 700 at (transmitter site) Ixtacomitan, Tabasco, with 2,500 watts day, 500 watts night. (Wanna bet about the night power?)

The SCT list, like any other Mexican station list, appears to be accurate on some of the moves that have been made in the 21st century, but well behind on others. For example, SCT still lists XETX on 1010, though it's been on 540 since 2001, and still shows XEYJ on 950, instead of 940 where it moved several years ago.
