Mike,

When I lived in Seward AK in the 60s, TAs could be logged all day. There
was a DXer in Palmer AK that heard all of Europe, half of Africa, and
the ME all day in the Winter in the 50s/60s. But I am not sure if you
would consider DX from that far North technically a TA. I was a beginner
at the time and he was much older and told me of all the TA DX to heard
in letters. Amazing stuff, but much of the Winter was mostly darkness
too.
