A great write up. Out here on the West Coast, KDUN Reedsport OR boosted
from 10 KW to 50 KW, as the station could not get the local power
company on the Central Oregon Coast to do anything about the powerline
noise. KDUN sells in North Bend/Coos Bay, 25 miles to the South and
Florence 25 miles to the North. But with even 10 KW, the powerline noise
would cover the signal. It was terrible. The 50 KW is strong enough to
at least cover their sales market.
