SHANIN & PARKS TO TAKE OVER AFTERNOONS

NewsRadio 980 KMBZ is proud to announce that after only 11/2 years in
afternoon drive, host Jerry Agar is moving up to another opportunity to be
announced at a later date. Picking up where Agar leaves off, is Shanin &
Parks, a live local talk show hosted by Kansas City radio veterans Mike
Shanin and Scott Parks.

Scott Parks is the current News Director of KMBZ. A Unversity of Kansas
graduate, he has recieved scores of awards for his reporting from the Kansas
Association of Broadcasters, the Missouri Broadcasters Association, and the
Radio Television News Directors Association of America. 

Mike Shanin, a Kansas City broadcast icon, is currently KMBZ's Political
Analyst. A native of St. Joseph, MO, Shanin also hosts the Time
Warner/Comcast Cable "Newsmaker" series, and Managing Editor of Host of
Ruckus, which airs on KCPT-TV

Jerry's final broadcast will take place 4:00-7:00pm on Friday, December 8th
at Gail's Harley-Davidson in Grandview, where KMBZ will also hold its
daylong Coats for Kids grand finale. Shanin & Parks take over afternoons on
Monday, December 11th.
