Another option is what John Bryant did. He coupled (I believe) a 13.8v marine battery with a 6v motorcycle battery in series. His computer power supply is somewhere in the range of 18v. I see my Dell is powered by a 19.5 V transformer, so the match is perfect.......Walt.
