I am thinking of converting some of my equipment over to 12 volt
DXing so I can take advantage of remote locations. I can power my
R8B with no problem, but what about computers? I have search for a
power supply made for my laptop, but it looks like there is nothing
available perhaps because it requires a step up in voltage. A DC-AC
invertor and then using the computer's AC-DC power supply is not a
real option because of the electical noise an invertor produces. A
spare computer battery might be an option, but I would like to avoid
that and use my car's battery or another 12 volt battery.
any ideas anyone?
