Doug,
Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated. I totally agree with you.
The Hams have accepted QSL Bureaus for years. I wish we had them in MW
QSLing more. People like Les Rayburn and Patrick Griffith are really
assets to our hobby. Without people like them, QSLs would be much harder
to get, if at all.
In my case, I can hear KAVT about any night, so checking the details
is easy and I know the format well enough. Plus generally I like an
audio source sent with the report, then QSLing is much easier.
People can cheat, but they are only cheating themselves. If getting
QSLs are that important to people, why not buy them off ebay? In the
several years I have been QSLing KAVT, I have only gotten one report
that was a cheat. The report was from Italy by the way. I have had a few
tentatives and most I could QSL. But only one bad report in all of this
time. So not bad. 99.9% of people are honest. There are a few bad apples
out there. But not many.
But again thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated. And yes, I will
continue to collect QSLs and also to QSL KAVT.
73,
Patrick
