Thanks for the reply Les. I'll attach my "tentative" recording for you to
listen to via a separate e-mail.
As for your other comments, that's what I get for writing e-mails just
before going to bed, then hitting the send button before reading what I
wrote a second time. My comments were certainly not meant to be derogatory
or critical. I was trying to say that you don't make a lot of promises that
don't get kept. In my work we call it "expectation management." You are
indeed working the program as it should be in not putting the word out about
possible exotic tests that never materialize.
Please accept my sincere apologies for a thoughtless and poorly worded
e-mail. You have a thankless job most of the time and you do a truly fine
job of organizing and executing this increasingly difficult effort.
BTW, I'm also sorry for taking so long to reply but we just got back into
town after a mini-vacation to Florida, and I'm just now sorting through 500+
e-mails.
Thanks for your understanding and please keep up the great work.

Jim,
If the report for WUMP is for their DX test, I'll be happy to verify that
one. Please
send it along to me directly by e-mail or postal mail.
I'm sure that your other comments are not meant to be derogatory, but
I don't understand the criticism. What exactly would you like for me to do
differently?
If I posted "news" of all my efforts to secure DX tests, it would only
result in more confusion and misinformation. For instance, I'm working
(and have been for over a year) on some DX Tests from Montana, but
until everything is nailed down, what is the point of sharing those efforts?
Plus it would result in dozens more questions from the DX community,
all of which have to be answered, but time is my most precious commodity.
I can work on arranging the DX tests, or I can answer questions
but usually not both.
Most of the troubles seem to come from the "QSL Community" within our
ranks---which is why I've tried to be more proactive about handling the QSL
chores directly. Of course, those efforts have been criticized as well.

will be off the air for maintenance.
