Re: [IRCA] They're Baaack: TP on 28 Sept

John,

I am glad you had a good opening there. With reports from some others, I
was afraid the enhanced signal levels were only on the coast. I was
surprised hearing my 5th Vietnamese this morning on 783. I think they
are listed as 500 or 600 kw. 549 & 675 were also there. I heard CC on
many channels also. There was one on 783 u/Vietnam, and 1026 (Beiging)
was decent too. Anhui 936 was good along with the CC in Russian 963. CC
on 981 was good. CC running JJ on 1044 was better than most morning.
Quite a pile up on 1053 in passing and little jammer which is nice. Hope
it stays that way. Thailand was not bad on 891 with the usual gongs. I
did not think to check 864 as a // either for Thailand. I only have
caught that one once before. But again, no filipinos. This season
filipinos have really been absent most mornings.
JOLR Toyama on 738 used to be common back in the 80s. I have not
listened for it in years now. Their 5 KW used to get out well. As well
as many other 5 KW Commercial JJ. One other plus with JJ stations, they
are great QSLers with beautiful cards. JOLR has a really nice one with a
bird on it.

Patrick
