Point well taken.

Bad bonding twixt door & car body resulting in difference of potential?
Sounds silly, but noise is silly. Its root causes can be downright
ludicrous.

Or is door slightly altering fit of antenna grounds? Slamming passenger door
on 92 Roadmaster wagon wreaks havoc on AM - crashing, booming static. Cause?
Fouled connector joinng antenna coax to car radio coax.

On the 93 Roadmaster Wagon, every so slightly loose ground mount - and
grounding bar on antenna loose. Same ol' thing. Regardless of tightness of
coax
connections, the loose bar behaved like a transmitter.
