What I cant understand is the mass exodus from the AM band by stations such as CHTN---They dont appreciate having that great coverage area...

Were there any justice, they'd pass laws requiring all households to have at least one R-390. Funds would be provided for their acquisition by all citizens in addition to DX'ers.
 
Re: R-388's, tragedy is the R-390 program cut short their production. They are works of art.
 
They'll be sumptuously reproducing analog long after my 2010 croaks.

PS - Passing thought. If skywaves are obsolete as pinhead broadcaster wannabes opine, what is the purpose of the ionosphere? Or does iBlechwitty plan to dismantle it and sell its layers to far east scrappers?
