Re: [IRCA] India 1566 conclusion

Mike -

OT Happy R-390 image story. You can swoon to Debussy's Images on an R-390, -A or -388 but as you say images unlikely to get thru. Summer '93, cat residing in KW Alley I-95/Jersey Meadowlands calls. Had good period equipment, Yaesu's, ICOM's, etc.

He was taking tough Kw punches. 'Bad things' came down pipe to emerge as images. He asked re R-390 ability as combatant in The War On Images. Who could say?

Had some excellent A's from John Ayres/A-Comm, good man. Sent customer one w/Crosley case in addition to inner/outer/tube shields. Told him if images crawl in, return for refund.

Customer receives. No images. He asked, can he remove set from case and shields from set? Suggested he try. Tried. No images. He's happy.

I was happy. Good to be happy.

Having said that, Sony 2010 & ICF-100 go whither I do along w/DX-398.

However, long before moving to FL, hurricanes or not, fully aligned R-390 or -A and at least one R-388 always amongst the 'go bags'. How otherwise might one survive?
