I think folks need to be careful to make a distinction here. It is
entirely possible to believe that he is/was mistaken about what was
heard and/or that there may be some 'other' explanation and to also
believe that this is not some great fraud nor even an attempt to
deceive anyone. We've all been mistaken in our DX careers, especially
near the start of them, and we've all probably been convinced at some
point that we heard something which we may really not have.
