WECU-1570 Winterville, NC has completed CP and is now on regular programming.
SDXM listing of CP is "3800/200 ND to 200/3800 ND2 (new CP)," so I suppose
200w day and 3,800w night. Apparently single tower
erected near Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Bad location for a tower as the
hospital is very near, distorting the ND pattern.
Signal almost equal to co-channel QRM even though transmitter is only about
17 miles due north of here, unless they're 200w night.
If 3,800, they'd be much stronger.
What's an ND2? Anything dangerous or smelly? I was attacked by an ND4
once, and it peed on my left shoe. Blink my eyes and all the abbreviations
are changed!
WECU=Eastern Carolina University. Programming appears to Black Southern
Gospel. Likely will carry ECU games.
This one caught me totally by surprised. CP issued and on the air, and I
find out about it in SDXM!
