AM Synchronous LSB.  It is a mode on the Drake R8B.  It is a fancy 
way of describing synchronous detection.  I think of it as tuning to 
the carrier and to one of the side bands at the same time.  Some of 
the more technically savvy DXers can explain the technical details 
for it.
