[IRCA] DX Tips for WDXR

As many of you know, I have been playing around with phasing two EWE
antennas, and the Northern pattern has been very interesting. Around LSS
today, I sat on 1340 for a time. Quite interesting to say the least.

1340     BC, Ashcroft, CINL good and mainly on top at 2003 EST 2/20 with
local news on Kamloops BC, several mentions of "NL News". (PM-OR)

1340    BC, Vanderhoof, CIVH, good with the end of Broadcast News, then
the slogan mentioned "The Wolf", info C&W mx 2006 2/20. CINL QRM (PM-OR)

1340    AB, Brooks, CIBQ, fair in jumble with "Cat Country, news on
Alberta, Q 13 Country at 2008 2/20. Lots of QRM. (PM-OR)

1340   NWT, Yellowknife  CFYK?? Presume the CBC station buried in the
jumble with news on the Winter Olympics at 1957 EST 2/20 //CBR 1010, but
too weak in the jumble to catch any ID at 2000. I have heard this
before, but never well enough to get a def. ID. No one else fits, but
still waiting for an ID. Maybe in time. They run 2.5 KW. I keep trying.

A couple other tips.

1620    KOZN    NE, Omaha, briefly above the jumble with Sports talk and
a spot with a tag "here in Omaha" at 0329 EST 2/20. Not good enough for
a report. Glad KBLI is gone. (PM-OR)

1630     KCJJ    IA, Iowa City fair with pop mx and "16-30 KCJJ" ID at
0323 EST 2/20. Have not heard this in a while. WY weak and still off
freq.  (PM-OR)

1340     KIHR      OR, Hood River, good with wx for Hood River at 2105
EST 2/20. (PM-OR)
