Re: [IRCA] KKSL 1290 Portland OR to sign off for good

Don,

1290 does not get out all that well. It never has. Their 5 KW sounds
more like 1 KW. I have all of the call's QSL'd from the days of KLIQ,
through all Elvis KLVS, and a couple of other calls. At night it is KPAY
or KUMA. Even Missoula is more common than Portland here at night. With
1290 gone, KUMA probably will be regular during the day and 1290 Port
Angeles, WA until they go to make room for the power boost of KKOL.
We are also getting a shake up in the FM freq's here at the end of the
month. KAST FM 92.9 is moving to the Portland area, moving from 92.9 (99
KW) and to 93.1 (1.8 KW). Plus a whole mess of others in the NW are
changing frequencies.
"Thing's there a changin" as Bob Dylan would say.
