The 2.3 crystal filter in the SPR4 is even tighter than the 2.3 L/C one
in the R8. The R8 I use the 2.3 in the ECSS mode and the Passband
tuning. It is much easier to separate things and still have decent
audio. I rarely use the R8 in the AM mode at less than 4.0 khz.
