Not really, Patrick. You just leave it in the A+B position and search for a
null just like with any other phaser. The "A" and "B" positions are there
for when you only want to use a single antenna and want to spare yourself
the trouble of using an antenna switch.

With the MFJ 1026, there is no switch to fool with. with the Quantum the
have to throw the switch to position A, then to position B, and then to
A+B.
  In the case of my Quantum, there is a loss of 5-10 DB. There is none
with the MFJ.
