Maybe CNR11 has their transmitter pattern aligned incorrectly, hi.
(FMScan.org says the Golmud site is directed at 205 degrees, hardly a
good pattern for the Americas, but I wonder if there is a secondary
lobe directed north?),ÂÂ Although the site is hugely inland, It is
interesting how well they can do (they've been heard in Victoria
also, rarely), and are probably a good illustration of the
effectiveness of "over the pole" propagation during low sunspot
years, like 1521 on the east coast.ÂÂ In fact, 1521 and 1098 should
both be targets this season for those in the central USA/Canada.
best wishes,
Nick

ÂÂ Not much else of note this morning but amazing reception of CNR

times the signal was better here!
