Clearly, getting to the oceanside away from the noise of your accommodation
is the key. We've stayed at Poipu a couple of times, and the last (for 3
weeks over the Xmas holidays) yielded poor results via the lanai due to all
the buzzes. Granted, too, my unit was a hundred or so meters in from the
water, too. I didn't try going down to the water's edge, as I should
