The Asian big guns sounded pretty healthy this morning but declining solar conditions took their toll on the second tier TP's. Yesterday's superb conditions were not repeated, and except for the regular big guns only a few low band TP's managed any audio.
Because of the declining solar conditions there were no Asian carriers at all at 1030-- a drastic downturn from yesterday. At short live DXing session started at 1345, though, and both 594-JOAK and 972-HLCA had surprisingly good signals in the predawn darkness. The declining conditions showed up in the weak second-tier Asians, though, with 603-HLSA sounding anemic, and 657-Pyongyang MIA. 639 only managed a weak carrier. The NHK2 big guns on 693 and 747 were healthy with their language lessons, though, and 594 and 972 kept up their S9 peaks until around 1415. One of the very few second-tier Asians to show up was a presumed 738-BEL2 at 1410 (after the KCBS fadeout), but its weak signal certainly wasn't anything to shout about. A brief check of the high band didn't show very much at 1405, and the collection of Asian big guns bailed around 1420 here.
