I'm going to be very interested to find out what happened. I wrote 
several articles for Radio World about KKOL's move to that Port of 
Tacoma site. They'd operated from West Seattle for decades but had to 
move out of the port there in 2002, and they had a temporary site for a 
year or so that used a Valcom whip antenna mounted on a boat moored in 
Puget Sound. When they finally set up shop in Tacoma in 2007, they had a 
bunch of issues with arcing on cranes in the port that took some time to 
be resolved, but my understanding is that they did get resolved after a 
while.

For them to be bumped from the Tacoma site *that* abruptly is unusual. 
Site leases are usually fairly long-term deals (for obvious reasons) 
that don't just end abruptly like this.
