[IRCA] TP 28 Feb Victoria version

Another sleeper of a morning, with a mix of Asians and Aussies, but none too apparent at a first listen. Start digging in the period between about 1430 and 1445UT and you'd be lost however, as fades were quite erratic, and something inaudible would become quite audible, then gone again.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK man in Japanese 1437UT
774 JOUB English lessons 1434UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

567 JOIK man in Japanese //594 1444UT
612 4QR man in DU English on phone 1434UT
702 2BL man in DU English 1443UT, various parallels at various times
747 JOIB English lessons 1439UT
828 JOBB man in Portuguese 1444UT
891 JOHK peaking 1447UT light jazz //594 which was weaker just then

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

558 HLQB soft music 1430-2UT //603 which was very weak
693 JOAB woman talking //828 1438UT
774 3LO rock music //612 1439UT, briefly over a faded down JOUB
1143 woman in Chinese 1439UT, likely Taiwan
1242 pop music 1437UT, JOLF?
1422 likely JORF with pop music 1442UT, best on north Flag
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1439UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

576 man talking, DU English intonation 1434UT
594 3WV man talking //612 far underneath JOAK
603 HLSA woman talking //558 1439UT
684 2KP pop music //612 1438UT, a bit of a catch...
738 2NR man talking //702 1431UT
765 woman talking 1434UT; 603 was a low grade mess at this time, so no possible parallel, possibly NZ
954 man talking, Japanese intonation 1436UT
972 man and woman talking 1453UT, possibly Korean?
1017 island vocals 1445UT, likely Tonga

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
 936 1575 1584 1593    seemed to be Asian;
 585 657 675 756 792 846 1008 1098 seemed to be DU

best wishes,

Nick
