[IRCA] TP 25 Feb Victoria version
Quite a lot of life in the band, this morning, though mostly the bottom and middle of the band, and mostly Japanese. Around 1450UT, it seemed that there were many channels that one could just sit on, and something interesting would fade up. So, given that I didn't do that on many channels, there were probably things missed. There was quite a nice boost around 1430UT also.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1450UT
774 JOUB man in Japanese 1458UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
612 4QR woman in DU English
747 JOIB music //774, then woman in Japanese 1449UT
828 JOBB man in Japanese 1452UT
891 JOHK man in Japanese //594 1448UT
972 HLCA pop music, then woman in Korean 1432UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 14330UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
567 JOIK man in Japanese //594 1448UT
693 JOAB man in Japanese //774 1453UT
873 JOGB man in Japanese //828 145UT
1116 4BC " McLaren? overnight... newstalk 4BC" by man 1453UT
1143 woman in Chinese 1430-1, likely Taiwan
1242 JOLF man in Japanese 1430UT
1287 JOHR two men in Japanese 1431UT
1332 JOSF man in Japanese briefly fair 1449UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
531 JOQG man talking //594 1426UT
576 man talking, DU English intonation 1449UT
585 sounded like a commercial by man DU English intonation, not //576; 1434UT, perhaps 2WEB?
603 soft music 1451UT ,assume HLSA
846 a mess of signals, all riding on big carrier from assumed Kirimati
864 man talking, sounded like high energy Japanese 1449UT
954 woman talking, Japanese intonation, into pop music, last DX left standing 1520-3UT
1134 JOQR man and woman talking then chimes and pip 1500UT
1188 JOKP man talking //594 1453UT
1503 JOUK soft music //594 1434UT
1548 man and woman talking DU English intonation 1452UT; unfortunately 612 didn't fade back up until this faded down
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
639 837 1053 1098 1161 1269 1386 1575 seemed to be Asian;
765 846 1017 1026 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
