Just as well that the TAs didn't amount to much this evening.  There was too much to do going through the morning's DX, and I'm sure there was a great deal in that madhouse of signals that I missed through lack of time to listen patiently through each channel.   Post sunrise wasn't quite as productive as yesterday, but HLAZ lasted long enough to get a VoA ID at 1701UT, 100 minutes after local sunrise.


pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK man in Japanese  1508UT
747 JOIB choral music 1458UT; still somewhat readable with music box s/off at 1603UT
774 JOUB man in Japanese 1507UT; still pretty readable at 1600UT s/off with JOUB ID and anthem
828 JOBB very big indeed with man in Japanese 1501UT
972 HLCA man in Korean 1505UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese,1456UT and a number of other times at this strength; heck there was a man in Russian at 1648 and 1640-1UT, perfectly readable.   Then there was the Voice of  America news mention by man at 1701UT, followed by another man in Korean.  The recording finished at 1702UT, but the signal strength recorder indicates readable audio as late as 1728UT




Reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

558 HLQH male ballad //603 which was quite weak, 1455UT; KBS jingle 1459UT, and single pip heard on hour
603 woman in Chinese 1429UT; mostly this put HLSA in the shade this morning
639 CNR1 man in Chinese 1511UT; paralleled with several others over the session
693 JOAB many times when 690 splatter allowed //774 etc.
1287 JOHR man with HBC ID 1455UT; woman in Japanese 1518UT
1557 Taiwan woman in Chinese 1528UT; best on north Flag



not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
