[IRCA] TP 21 Oct Victoria version
Continuing lack of time means not really digging for new stations,
just noting what thunders in easily. This morning was interesting,
but not outstanding, mostly Asian from fairly early on.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
567 JOIK man in Japanese 1413UT
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1403UT
747 JOIB kingpin NHK2 for second day, Chinese lessons 1348UT, often
stronger than 750kHz;
774 JOUB English and Chinese lessons various times
828 JOBB Chinee lessons 1356UT
972 HLCA woman in Korean 1403UT, also pretty kingpin at times
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
738 Taiwan woman in Chinese //1143, 1423UT,
954 JOKR man in Japasnese 1409UT
1566 HLAZ man in Chinese 1409UT, heard this well at 1132UT also with
catchy vocal music
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
576 2NR likely, woman in DU English 1428UT
612 4QR man in DU English 1425UT
891 JOHK woman in Japanese not //594 or 567 (and those not // to each
other) 1411UT, when regional news feeds were on
963 CRI woman in Russian 1405UT //1323
1053 jammer 1347UT
1206 Yanbian likely w/woman in Korean 1359UT
1287 JOHR man in Japanese 1346UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
603 HLSA woman talking, slow music //558 1405UT
702 NHK2 woman talking //774 1417UT
981 man talking, perhaps Chinese 1413UT
1143 Taiwan woman talking //738 1423UT
1188 JOKP man in Japanese //594 1410UT
1323 CRI woman in Russian //963 1405UT
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter) lots of near audio here
621 711 855 909 1026 1044 1098 1242
best wishes,
Nick
