[IRCA] Alberta TPs for 18 September 2016

Another interesting morning, though the follow up on the early promise was lacking on many frequencies that had interesting carriers.

567	JOIK	Sapporo, JAPAN	Man in Japanese at 1216, //594

594	JOAK	Tokyo, JAPAN	First heard around 1206 with man in Japanese.

693	JOAB	Tokyo, JAPAN	Man in Japanese at 1206, // other NHK2 big guns.

747	JOIB	Sapporo, JAPAN	Man in Japanese at 1206, // other NHK2 big guns.

774 JOUB Akita, JAPAN Good already at 1202 tune-in with Japanese talk. Reached levels close to the 16th at times.
792	4RN	Brisbane, AUSTRALIA	Barely into audio, but could make out the
pips and ABC news fanfare at 1300.
828	JOBB	Osaka, JAPAN	Man in Japanese at 1202, //774

972 HLCA Dangjin, KOREA Very weak, but could make out bits of Korean at 1242.
1116 4BC Brisbane, AUSTRALIA Thought this regular was going to
be missing today, but it rose to audio at 1249 with music, then talk
from the woman hosting the pgm.
1179	JOOR	Osaka, JAPAN	Bits of Japanese talk by man through the 1180
splatter.
1566 HLAZ	Cheju, KOREA	Only poor today, with bits of audio around 1252.

1611 unID AUSTRALIA Mostly only carriers, but had about a 2 minute spike at 1251 resulting in stations with audio (one music and one man talking) on 1611 and 1611.02
1629	unID AUSTRALIA The same two minute spike produced audio with a
high-pitched vocal by a woman (religious perhaps) at 1252.
Lots of carriers, especially below 1000 khz. As an aside, last
night's TAs never really developed further. The 1575 carriers bailed
early (Farda and Iran??), and 1413 was the only one close to audio (best
around 0215). The others hung around for several hours, but never doing
much.
