Point taken concerning the power of these beacons, Steve, though I thought
SQM was somewhat more powerful than that....it's just that here, if I don't
heard SQM, I don't hear other Alaskans either. (In fact, SQM is usually
my only Alaskan at home)
Also, 525 is a unique frequency in North America isn't it? A carrier
there could indicate an opening to the more distant DXer....
Hmm, I notice PAL lists Nome area beacon "FDV" on 529 at 400w....anybody
heard it? A carrier on 529 would indicate Alaska, as the only beacons
there seem to be Alaskan.
