Hello! I have been setting my R8B up for the last
couple of nights to record several TA freqs (1305,1314,etc) at varying
intervals. No luck so far when I listen to the recordings the next
morning. I am still hopeful. I haven't heard one of these things
since the 1970s.
I do remember that when I did hear them, they came
in and I got good audio and knew what and who they were. Used to hear them
in the fall/winter here in Kentucky. Some as early as local sunset and as
late as 3am local time. This on an old HQ-180 and homemade box loop.
I still use a similar box loop or lw today.
Glad others are having some luck. I'm not
giving up yet. I don't think it's the R8B...so must be me -
lol.
