[IRCA] Sick DX-375

I have a sick Radio Shack DX-375.
I purchased the radio off of eBay a
few months ago. Great radio, but it's
hard to read the digital display. At
power-on, every section of the LCD is
activated (energized?). I can't tell
what band the radio is on, all sections
of the frequency digits appear all the
time, etc.
Has anybody seen or experienced a
similar problem with their DX-375?
I can't complain about the radio's
reception. These C-cell radios
have super long battery life.
I just wish I could get the LCD to
do what it's supposed to do.
Interesting point, though ...
Because all sections of the LCD are
visible, I saw that the display has
"TV" and "LW", bands that are not
part of the DX-375's circuitry.
Hmmm ... I wonder what other radio
also uses the same display as the
DX-375?
Anyway, your help would be greatly
appreciated.
73 and GREAT DX!
