Thanks for the info! I'm always the
sceptic, particularly on GY'ers. I know it's not the KEVA test, but the
distance and power are about the same (audio vs cw being the ONLY minor
difference, hi.) I did check out KLOA's website for ideas.
I also would have guessed that it would get out
better than what it sounds like, considering it's location, distant on channel
or adjacent stations. (not considering my home QTH)- That comment is based on my
travels with the radio on, north of LA and through the Great Basin (Nevada
etc)

Antenna height, my guess 55' +/- 5' , more or
less.
