But will those streams cover the capex and opex of providing them? That's
one big question. Another is how a station can differentiate itself in the
market if the competition also one conservative talk, one liberal talk,
another C&W, another AC and the last oldies. Pretty soon we'll be back to
what we have now: multiple rock, multiple C&W, multiple talk, et al -- just
five times more of each, and still no clear differentiation between stations
that have roughly the same format.

No biggie. All the station has to do is run satellite programming on all
5 streams if they want and sell the local breaks. There is always a quick
way to get the programming up and running quickly. 
Just think, 5 streams. One conservative talk, one liberal talk, another C&W,
another AC and the last oldies.
