With Hurricane Rita approaching Texas, I would be interested in what
stations will be the best source of information.
Galveston/Houston does not seem to have any stations with the coverage of a
WWL-870. Looking at day coverage, KLVI and KTRH look to be the best.
Neither will do well beyond 500 miles skywave, however. Given the distance,
my guess is that the other true class A clear channel stations won't have
effective groundwave into Houston, so will not be of use.
What do you folks from that area think?
