Alright yeah thanks Curt, Arnie is a riot and tells all sorts of
interesting DX and equipment stories, he's really into the old time equipment if
you're into that also. I've only heard him a few time but it's a great DX show,
I'll try to remember tonight at 11

plans.
Bob,
I happened upon the program at
2330edt, but it probably had been going for a while since it seemed to be
wrapping up and ended at 2345 as I recall. May have begun at 2300, and if
Cuba isn't on daylight time, then that would be 12 as you recalled it to
be.

Ok,
ok, not what you think.
Tonight on RHC (Radio Havana
Cuba) 6000 at 2330edt, I heard the inimitable Arnie (the official Cuban
transmitter repairman) describing what I term the IBOC Radio -- Itty Bitty
Oldtime Crystal Radio. Something about an amazing quadruple something or
another, crystal radio. We're all invited to write him for the plans at
RHC. "Amaze your friends and family," he actually
said that!
Sorry for my obvious excitement, but I was
intrigued. Do it yourself radio construction projects are not normal
broadcast fare, not even on shortwaves. Unfortunately I didn't catch the
mailing address from which to request the construction plans. Could be just
what all the IBOC Radio fanatics have been waiting
for.
