[IRCA] DX TIP (WDXR)

890    KDJQ    ID, Meridian-Boise, with the AU so strong knocking out
most skip including KDXU, KDJQ was pretty much alone most of the night
5/30-5/31 with a great mix of oldies. Not bad for 250 watts. Logged with
a nice ID at 0500 EDT 5/31 "DJ 89, KDJQ Meridian". Then at 0900 EDT 5/31
presumed on 50 KW by then, with ID going into Network news. The best I
have heard then so far. I get them 24/7, but fairly poor a lot of the
time. Weak during the middle of the day, as it is close to Summer. In
the evenings after they drop to 250 w, the CJDC/KDXU/WLS, etc QRM is
bad. A nice mix of 50s/60s oldies. A station I would listen to regularly
if I could hear them better. I am sure in the Fall-Winter they will be
heard well during the day as KBOI, KIDO, KGEM, etc are all better during
the day.
